Cu 5000 de ani in urma un razboinic numit Memnon cucerea tot ce-i statea in cale transformand populatia ostila in sclavi. Se zvonea ca secretul succesului sau consta in prezicerile unui profet al lui Memnon. De aceea este chemat Mathayus , regele scorpion, descendent al unei intregi generatii de asasini de temut. Doar ca Mathayus realizeaza ca profetul este de fapt o frumoasa vrajitoare , frumoasa Cassandra.
